GOTTMAN METHOD ABROAD Report from South Korea: Christina Choi, Ray Varlinsky & the EmWave

Ray Varlinsky, certified California Gottman Therapist and ASL Workshop Leader, spent the early part of April  in South Korea working with Gottman Therapist Christina Choi, at the Boys and Girlstown orphanages in Busan and Seoul.  Click here for PDF photos of their work.

They were demonstrating and teaching the Sisters of Mary and the Brothers of Christ, the ability of the emWave PC and PSR to elicit psychophysiological self-soothing, positive HRV patterns and the opening of the heart with positive emotions.  They also launched a counseling approach that integrated the emWave with the Gottman Counseling Skills with troubled teenagers at the Boys an Girlstown orphanage in Busan.  The reception and inital results were very good and the plan is to integrate emotional coaching with the emWave into all of the orphanages under the Boystown.  The Boys and Girlstown is presently established in five countries with approximately 23,000 children.

For the past 26 years, Ray has utilized a combination of biofeedback training and counseling in his clinical practice.  He has studied and used HRV (heart rate variability) for over 15 years.   In the last few years he has concentrated his attention on the emWave and says, "In my opinion and personal experience, the emWave is the best researched and affordable technological tool for psychophysiological health and healing that is available today".

Ray will be presenting at The Gottman Fifth Annual Conference this May on;  HeartMath emWave PSR:  Biofeedback for Gottman Therapist or "I have a emWave PSR, now what?"
